A tattered fair to good local cover sent from Belfast PEI to Alberton, addressed to Neil Campbell. The compound perf stamp is tied by a red 10 bar handstamp (type P134). There is a nice strike of a red Belfast March 20, 1866 double split ring cancel. This is one of three known covers with this marking. The cover is quit tattered, with a portion missing at lower left. Still a rare usage of the compound perf on cover, and a nice example of the very rare Belfast cancel. Faint Prince Edward Island circular backstamp, of which only three are known, with this being the earliest. Unitrade cat. for fine $350. Net Est. $150.
