A well centered and scarce socked-on-the-nose CDS used example of the 7.5d mauve and aniline crimson Queen Victoria stamp from the 1887-1901 Bicoloured Keyplate Issue. The 5d, 7.5d and 10d values of this issue were issued for payment of registration fees on valuable letters. As such they were not heavily used, and consequently the vast majority of examples found today are mint. Genuine, commercially used examples are scarce. Cancelled with a March 2, 1894 Lagos CDS cancel. 2022 Scott Classic values a vf used example at $40 usd. The stamp offered here grades 80 as follows:
