This set was issued on thin, translucent, toned paper , white unsurfaced paper and chalk surfaced paper. This group is thin, toned, translucent wove with additional shades of the 6pf. This issue exists in many printings, with many shades. There were two watermarks used - the large florette watermark, which this set is, and the later DDR and posthorn watermark. Scott lists the basic watermarks, however it does not list any of the shades that can be found, nor does it list any of the paper varieties that can be found. In addition to both horizontal and vertical wove paper, the stamps can be found on chalky paper, white unsurfaced paper, and a rough, translucent, almost newsprint-like paper.
