SKU Lot 275 June 16, 2021

A good used example of the 2c deep claret rose Queen Victoria from the 1859-1867 First Cents Issue. Regrettably this stamp has two large sealed tears in the upper right corner, that are visible on the face. Were it not for these, this would be a solid VF used example of this stamp. As it stands it is a fair to good, presentable example.

Unitrade values this at $62.50, based on half the value of the listed VG grade. Usually a drop of one grade translates into a 50% drop in value. But the actual value of this example will likely be between $30 and $50. The stamp offered here grades 50 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 40/60

Paper Freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10

Cancellation: 10/10

Adjustment for mentioned faults: -30 points.
