11 VFOG singles from the 1948 Definitive Overprints, specialized part set with ribbed gum, shades. Specialized part set of mostly VFOG stamps from the 1948 Russian zone overprints on the 1946 German Definitives with ribbed gum as well as shades. Includes the better brown red shade of the 60pf. Ribbed gum includes all values except 6pf,15pf,16pf,10pf,25pf,30pf,40pf. The Scott numbers range from 10N1 to 10N16, and include 10N1/10N16. 2017 Scott Cat. $33.25.

The 1946 definitives, which were overprinted to produce these issues, can be found in a wide variety of shades, and the gum can be found both with vertical ribbing and without the ribbing. Scott does not distinguish between these variations, but we have made separate lots of these varieties and have valued them using the basic catalogue prices.
