Lot 250 Canada #41 3c Orange Vermilion 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue, A VG-Fine Used Example, Click on Listing to See ALL Pictures
A VG-Fine Used example of the 3c Orange Vermilion from the 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue. Strip of 6 with light cancels from Bathurst, NB dated December 20th 1893. Typical centering for a multiple of this size - generally you would be lucky to find more than 2-3 VF stamps to a typical sheet, so a strip like this would typically have VG centering as this one does. We don't recall the last time we saw a strip of 6, which is why we are offering it now. It would have had to have been used on a hextuple rate letter, or possibly a double registered local letter (2 x indemnity at 5c plus 3c postage). Neither rate would be at all common. Unitrade cat. $5. The stamps offered here grade VG-60.
