VFNH examples of the 3/10c on 9/40c and 1/2c on 3/8c deep scarlet stamps from the 1932-1948 Three Leaf Excise tax issue. The 3/10c on 9/40c has deep coffee coloured brownish gum, indicating that it is a printing made around 1932-1933, and the 3/10 surcharge shows a broken fraction bar. The 1/2c on 3/8c stamp has cream gum. Van Dam values F-65 NH examples at $15.50. These BABN issues are difficult to find this well centered, so these should be worth at least double in this grade.
