Lot 218 Canada #1161, 1175a 25c Beaver and 61c Timber Wolf, 1988-1992 Mammal and Architecture Issue, Multiple Use of the Scarce Perf. 13.1 on Priority Post Bill of Lading

A bill of lading for Priority Post, (a now defunct service that was replaced by Xpresspost in the 1990’s), to John Deere, sent in December 1990. The postage fee of $6.45 was paid with two strips of 5 of the 61c Timber wolf in the scarce perf. 13.1, plus a 25c beaver (damaged). Interestingly the total only comes to $6.35, so they were either short 10c, or the fee shown on the bill is incorrect. A scarce usage. The stamps alone catalogue $80. Net. Est. $90-$100.

The Mammal and Architecture definitive issue is the subject of this week's blog post. You are encouraged to go here to find more information about the paper, shade, gum and fluorescence varieties that are described here, that are not in Unitrade. There you will find all of the information that you need in one place. That post will be published by the end of the day on Friday, December 16, 2022.
