In our descriptions of the souvenir sheets of the Third Reich era, we make a distinction between used or CTO sheets that have either been hinged, or have had the gum washed off, and those which have full NH gum, and would be mint NH in all respects were it not for the special event cancel. In recent years philatelists have begun to distinguish between CTO and used, and CTO with full NH gum has started to become collectible in its own right, as most CTO items have had the gum removed in order to give the impression of genuine postal use. We are not certain as to how to value these, but we have to believe that an NH sheet with a special event cancel will be worth more than a used sheet that has had the gum washed off or otherwise disturbed. Therefore we have listed both the mint NH value and the used value in these cases and we leave it to you to decide.
