A very well centered and fresh lightly hinged example of the scarce Die 2 which was printed in a bright deep Carmine red. According to the owner this die was engraved on March 10th 1916 and was approved on July 26th 1916 it is Marler type 4 die 2. The owner describes it with a vertical line in the upper left corner is broken just above the junction line where it meets the oval vertical line in the left numeral box is unbroken. This comes from plate 15. A scarce stamp that is missing from most collections we see. 2023 Unitrade catalog value is $400. The stamp offered here grades 84 as follows:
