Lot 12 Canada #104c 1c Deep Blue Green King George V, 1911-1928 Admiral Issue, A VF Used Example Showing The Retouch Die As Mentioned In Marler From Plates 31 Through 170

A very fine used example of the deep blue green with the retouched type 2 die with April 21st 1913 circular date cancellation. On this example the left numeral box lines are strong and the right numeral box vertical lines are of medium strength. The frame line in the upper right spandrel is retouched quite strongly. Marler identifies this in his book, and as such this is a useful reference example. Our estimate of the value as a reference example is $5. The stamp offered here grade 75 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 35/60

Paper Freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10

Cancellation: 10/10
