Sierra Leone #17 (SG#35) 6d Dull Violet, Queen Victoria, 1885-1896 Keyplate Issue, Perf. 14, Watermarked Crown CA a VF Used Example

Sold out

A well centered and very fine used example of the 6d dull violet Queen Victoria 1885 Keyplate issue, with the crown CA watermark. Comb perf. 14. Moderate strike of the B31 barred numeral.

On these early keyplates the numeral grid cancels were the predominant cancelling device until CDS's appear in the mid to late 1890's. So those types of cancels do not detract significantly on these issues.
