Lot 462 Norfolk Island #49/70 1962-1964 Definitives & 1963-1965 Commemoratives, a VFNH Complete Set With Additional Shade/Paper Variety

A very fine NH complete set of the 1962-1964 Fish and Scenes definitives, and the 1963-1965 commemorative issues. The commemoratives include an extra shade and paper variation of the 1963 Christmas Issue.

The definitives were printed by Harrison and Sons, as with nearly all their stamps from this period there exists significant variations in the fluorescence of the paper used to print the stamps. All values in this lot except the 11d are printed on high fluorescent paper. The 11d is printed on paper that is low fluorescent on front and dull fluorescent flecked on back, as shown in the picture.
