Great Britain 1966-1967 - A Pair of 2 Fine Covers to Pakistan

Sold out

Two fine covers to Pakistan as follows:

  • February 20, 1967 air letter, paid with 9d phosphor EFTA issue, which was released a week earlier. This is a commercial letter from an importer of carpets to a manufacturer in Pakistan.
  • February 7, 1966, a printed matter airmail cover, paid with a 2d Wilding and 4d regional for Scotland, which was issued this day, making this a commercial first day cover.

Our estimate of the value of these covers based on the above factors is $25, as these are both scarce destinations and scarce usages.  To understand how we have assessed these covers and arrived at this estimate and to gain a broader understanding of postal history collecting, I would suggest you read the article linked here. It should clarify the factors that make covers, and this one in particular scarce, and will help you to understand why we have estimated it at this amount.
