Two overpaid (by 8c) single weight airmail covers to Germany. Both are franked with exactly one extra 8c stamp than was required, leading me to conclude that they are philatelic, as the postage does not correspond to any of the old rates either. Still, these are nice contemporary on-cover usages of these stamp. Both covers are cancelled in 1973, so the usage is contemporary.
