Canada #O17 2c Sepia 1949-1952 Postes-Postage Issue Official G Overprint, A Very Fine NH Lower Left Field Stock Block With Cutting Guideline
A well centered, fresh and very fine mint NH example of the 2c sepia King George VI stamp from the 1949-1952 Postes-Postage Issue, with "G" overprint, in a lower left field stock block of 4, showing the cutting guideline at lower left. . Printed on thick cream wove paper with horizontal ribbing, and somewhat streaky deep cream gum with a satin sheen.
The cutting guidelines on sheets, where they were split into 4 panes prior to distrubution are not usually visible because the cutting would normally split the line. In this case, the cutter was ever so slightly out of alignment, so we can see the full guideline. Unitrade values a VF-75 normal NH block at $12. The block offered here grades 80 as follows:
Paper freshness: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
