Canada #90i 2c Carmine Rose, Type 2 King Edward VII, Wet Printing, A VFNH Example

Sold out

A beautifully centered and fresh, mint NH example of the 2c carmine rose, type 2, wet printing King Edward VII stamp from the 1903-1911 King Edward VII Issue, with jumbo margins. The gum shows a natural uneven colour, as is occasionally seen on this issue. There is also a very light gum wrinkle in the upper left corner, which we mention mainly for accuracy, though it does have a minor impact on the grade as detailed below.  Unitrade values a VFNH example at $420.  The stamp offered here grades 79-J as follows:

Centering/margins: 54/70 (jumbo)

Paper freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10

Adjustment for minor gum wrinkle: -5 points
