Canada #729T1 & T6 12c Blue Parliament Buildings, 1977-1982 Floral & Environment Issue, Very Fine Used Coil Singles Showing the G2aR and G2aL Tagging Errors
Two very fine used coil singles of the 12c blue parliament buildings stamp from the 1977-1982 Floral & Environmental issue, showing the G2aR and G2aL 1-bar tagging errors. The G2aR is printed on LF paper and the G2aL is on DF paper, and both have light tagging.
Although not specifically mentioned in Unitrade, the parliament stamps are found with three distinct tagging strengths:
- invisible, where the stamp appears to be untagged.
- light tagging, where the tagging bars appear visible but not dark, being a light yellowish cream.
- dark tagging, in which the bands appear deep brownish yellow, and are very obvious on the stamps.
The Adminware database lists these stamps at $6 for fine used. The stamp offered here grades 80 as follows:
Margins/centering: 40/60
Paper freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
Perforations: 10/10
Cancellation: 10/10
