Canada #719T6 25c Multicoloured Sugar Maple, 1977-1982 Floral & Environment Issue, a F Used Single on NF/DF Paper With Doctor Blade Tagging Flaw

A well centered and fine used example of the 25c multicoloured Sugar Maple stamp from the 1977-1982 Floral & Environmental issue, printed on NF/DF paper, showing a doctor blade flaw affecting the tagging, in which there are two thin hairline tagging bars on the right side of the stamp, extending about a third of the way up the design. The stamp has a solid dotted background.

The paper is NF/DF.

The medium value tree stamps of this issue can be found with background colours that appear solid and dotted under magnification, and with backgrounds that appear mottled. This is not mentioned in Unitrade, but I consider this to be a collectible difference.

The Adminware tagging database lists this error at $10 for fine used, and this is THE example illustrated there.

The stamp offered here grades 73 as follows:

Margins/centering: 40/60

Paper freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of visible paper flaws: 0/5 (some minor wrinkling visible only under magnification)

Perforations: 10/10

Cancellation: 8/10
