A very fine group of 4 single weight airmail covers to Germany, franked with different combinations of 1969 and 1970 commemorative issues, and in one case two commemoratives and 3 1c Centennial stamps. All the covers were sent in March 1970, and 3 are overpaid by 3c each. They have all come from the same sender, who took the trouble to make up the rate correctly on one cover. So, the natural conclusion is that they did noy have make up stamps on hand, and so simply used 3 6c stamps on three of the covers. A nice group.
