Canada #459bF 6c Orange Transportation, 1967-1973 Centennial Definitive Issue, The Earliest Known On Cover Use of the Lithographed Forgery
A very fine cover, which appears to be a wedding invitation, sent to Agincourt from Toronto on April 3, 1970. Franked with an example of the lithographed postal forgery of the 6c orange Transportation stamp. This is illustrated as fig. 401 in Harris and comes from the collection of the late Bob Prince. There is some minor damage to the backflap, that we mention for accuracy, but in no way detracts from the rarity or appeal of this exhibition quality cover.
Unpriced in Unitrade and Harris, our price is based on what we sold it to the previous owner for.
