Canada #338/426 1962-1967 Cameo Issue, Five Airmail Covers to Germany Franked With Combination Usages

Sold out

Five 15c airmail covers to Germany, sent from various cities between 1963 and 1966.  Each cover is franked with a different combination of stamps from the Wilding Issue, the Cameo issue and 1963 and 1966 commemorative issues as follows:

  • One is franked with a 2c Wilding, 1c + 2c Cameo, 5c Postal Service and 5c Gzowski.
  • One is franked with 5c Cameo, 5c Alberta and 5c Saskatchewan.
  • One is franked with 1c + 2 x 2c Cameo, and pair of 5c Frobisher
  • One is franked with a 15c Canada Geese.
  • One is franked with 1c + 4c + 5c Cameo and 5c Gzowski.

The 15c airmail rate to Europe is reasonably common, and Germany is one of the most common countries, other than the UK. But the frankings are all better than what is usually seen, which would be 3 x 5c Cameo, a 15c Gannet or a 10c Inuk & Kayak + 5c Cameo.

Est. $40 for the group.
