Canada #403v 3c Light Plum Queen Elizabeth II, 1962-1967 Cameo Issue, a VFNH LL Field Stock Block Tagged With Wide and Narrow Bars
A very well centered and VFNH lower left field stock block of the 3c light plum stamp of the 1962-1967 Cameo Issue, printed on smooth DF paper, and tagged with wide and narrow bars of medium strength. Perf. 11.9 with a slightly streaky dex gum that has a semi-gloss sheen.
The tagging on this issue does exhibit some differences that are not specifically mentioned in Unitrade. The main one is that the strength varies from light, which is almost invisible, to moderate, which is visible, but not dark, and finally to dark, in which the bands appear deep yellow. The width of the bands also varies from the standard width of between 8-9 mm to a smaller size of 7 mm, which was applied at the outer columns of the panes of some, but not all printings.
This block has narrow selvedge on the bottom and left, so it comes from either the upper right pane or the centre right pane.
Unitrade lists a corner block of this tagging variety at $7.50. The block offered here grades 84 as follows:
Paper freshness: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
