Canada #35 1c Deep Yellow Queen Victoria, 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue, Second Ottawa Printing, A Very Fine Unused Strip of Three, Perf. 12

Sold out

A fresh and very fine unused strip of 3 of the second Ottawa printing of the 1c deep yellow Queen Victoria stamp from the 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue.  Printed on the soft, horizontal wove paper used during this period. Perf. 12. There are no position dots visible on any of the three stamps, either on the medallion, or the lower corner, so it very likely comes from a printing made after 1891. There is a small smudge stain affecting the left stamp, but it appears to be potentially removable with a good soak. Unitrade values a F-65 OG pair (not counting the left stamp) at $120, so an unused strip should be worth approximately half of this, or $60. The right pair in the strip offered here grades 80 as follows:

Centering/margins: 50/70

Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
