Canada #254 4c Carmine Red King George VI, 1942-1949 War Issue, A Fine OG/NH Pair on Vertical Wove Paper, Showing Dramatic Misperf

Sold out

A fine centered (top to bottom) pair of the 4c carmine red King George VI stamp from the 1942-1949 War issue, showing a dramatic misperf in which the perfs are shifted leftward by 3 mm, causing the right frame to appear on the left. Printed on vertical wove paper that shows no clear mesh, and with a smooth deep cream gum that has a semi-gloss sheen. The left stamp is NH and has a minor gum wrinkle and the right stamp in the pair is LH. Unitrade does not list misperfs, but generally a misperf like this will sell for $70 or so.  The pair offered here grades 70 as follows:

Centering/margins: 40/70
Paper freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
