A very fine used example of the 42c multicoloured air balloon stamp from the 2001 Hot Air Balloons issue, with the mauve sky, showing a 1 mm rightward printing shift of both the magenta and yellow colours which causes the balloons to appear to be triple printed, while the "Canada" Inscription appears to be double. A similar stamp was offered last week, in which the shifted colour was the blue, rather than these other two colours.

Unitrade does not list this variety, but Jamieson had priced it at $69.95, which seems reasonable, given its striking nature.

The stamp offered here grades 75 as follows:

Margins/centering: 45/70

Paper freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5

Cancellation: 10/10
