A very well centered and very fine mint OG NH single of the 2c green (yellow green in Unitrade) wet printing Admiral coil from the 1911-1928 Admiral issue, perforated 12 horizontally. Printed on vertical wove paper measuring 0.004" thick with no visible mesh. The gum is a smooth, shiny cream, characteristic of the late wet printings made after 1918. Has the tiny nick in the outer frameline at lower left that is characteristic of all genuine examples, as discussed by Marler in his book on the Admiral Issue. There is a natural uneven line in the gum, which occurs during the gumming of many of the wet printings. It is not a gum disturbance as such. A very attractive example of this stamp, with jumbo sized margins. Unitrade values a VF-75 NH single at $300. The stamp offered here grades 84-J as follows:

Centering/margins: 54/70

Paper freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10
