Canada #1194iv 37c Blue Parliament Buildings 1988-1991 Wildlife and Architecture Issue, a Fine NH Coil Strip With Narrow Spacing on DF Peterborough Paper
A Fine NH coil strip of 4 of the 37c blue Parliament buildings stamp from the 1988-1991 Wildlife and Architecture Issue, with narrow spacing between stamps 3 and 4. Printed on DF/DF Peterborough paper.
On this issue paper fluorescence has been completely ignored because the perception is that all the stamps are on dull paper. However, this is a bit of an oversimplification, as the pictures of some of the low value stamps will show. While it is true that the coated Slater, Harrison, Rolland and Peterborough papers are generally dull on the face, or non-fluorescent on the face, stamps on Coated Papers Paper are truly "dead" on the face most of the time and are much darker under UV than the stamps on any other paper. On the back, the papers vary from NF which is quite greyish to DF cream to a very light low fluorescence on some of the Harrison papers.
Unitrade lists this strip at $10 for fine NH. The strip offered here grades 70 as follows:
Paper freshness: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
