Canada #120 50c Black Brown King George V, 1911-1928 Admiral Issue, A Mathematically Centered SON CDS Used Example

Sold out

A very well centered CDS used example of the 50c black brown, dry printing Admiral stamp from the 1911-1928 Admiral Issue. Cancelled just out of period, with August 29, 1930 Medicine Hat, Alberta CDS.  The 50c bluenose was issued in January 1929, so this is just over a year late in terms of period use, but still not too late for this high value. Difficult to find in this quality, as most 50c Admirals are roller or smudge cancelled, and those that aren't often have heavy CDS cancels that just don't look as nice as this. Unitrade values a VF-75 used single at $5, but this should be worth more, as it is toward the top-end of the VF grade. The stamp offered here grades 84 as follows:

Centering/margins: 44/70

Paper freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10

 Cancellation: 10/10
