Canada #1167 39c Queen Elizabeth II 1988-1991 Wildlife and Architecture Issue, VFNH UR, LL and LR Inscription Blocks on NF/LF Harrison Paper
VFNH upper right, lower left and lower right inscription blocks of the 39c Queen Elizabeth II stamp from the 1988-1991 Wildlife and Architecture Issue, printed on NF/LF Harrison paper. This paper is not listed and is only very slightly brighter under UV than the DF. However, it is different, which is why I list it here.
On this issue paper fluorescence has been completely ignored because the perception is that all the stamps are on dull paper. However, this is a bit of an oversimplification, as the pictures of some of the low value stamps will show. While it is true that the coated Slater, Harrison, Rolland and Peterborough papers are generally dull on the face, or non-fluorescent on the face, stamps on Coated Papers Paper are truly "dead" on the face most of the time and are much darker under UV than the stamps on any other paper. On the back, the papers vary from NF which is quite greyish to DF cream to a very light low fluorescence on some of the Harrison papers.
Unitrade lists these blocks at $15 for VFNH. The blocks offered here grade between 80 and 84 as follows:
Centering/Margins 50/70 and 54/70
Paper freshness: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
