Bechuanaland Protectorate #112 (SG#106) 2/- Black and Orange, King George V and Cattle, 1932 Definitive Issue, A VF Used Example With Somewhat Doubtful Cancel
A very fine used example of the 2/- black and orange King George V over a river scene stamp from the 1932 Pictorial Definitive issue. This stamp catalogues much higher used than mint (70 pounds versus 25 pounds) and the cancel looks somewhat questionable to me, because it does not appear to be a town datestamp. However, it is still a nice stamp and should be worth at least what a mint copy would be worth.
Gibbons lists this stamp in fine OG for 25 pounds, (approx. $50) and in postally used condition for 70 pounds (approx. $140). The stamp offered here grades 75 as follows:
Paper freshness: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
