A Note About Centering on Kangaroo and King George V Heads
The kangaroo issues and George V Heads are notorious for very poor centering. In addition, short perfs are very common on the "roos", as are rough perforations on the WW1 printings. Fine stamps will be notably off centre in two directions and will often have perforations touching the outer frameline on 1 or even 2 sides. VF stamps will appear balanced overall, but may be noticeably off center from top to bottom, at the lower end of the VF grade, or very slightly from side to side, or very slightly in 2 directions. Normally, the later would be considered fine on most issues, but for early Australia this will be the lower end of the VF grade.
