Canada #O39a (SG#O206a) 10c Inuk & Kayak 1954-62 Wilding Issue Plate 4 UL Flying G DF Iv Smooth Paper VF-84 NH
A very well centered and very fine NH example of the 10c purple brown Inuk & kayak official stamp from the 1954-63 Wilding Issue, in a plate 4 upper left (UL) block of 4 with the "flying G" overprint. Printed on horizontal wove paper showing no visible ribbing and giving a dull fluorescent ivory reaction under ultraviolet light, with a very, very sparse concentration of low fluorescent fibres. Smooth and shiny cream gum. Unitrade values a VF-75 NH block at $30. However, blocks grading above VF-80 are scarce due to the fact that the stamps were line perforated. The block offered here grades 84 as follows:
Paper freshness: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
Note: the above scan is a stock photo as are all my scans for material after 1952.The item (s) you will receive has (have) been carefully checked to adhere to the above grading standards, so while it (they) may not be exactly the same, it (they) will be of the same quality. Also, I do not provide back scans of NH stamps or blocks after 1952 unless they are required to illustrate some attribute of the paper of gum.
