Canada #J14 (SG#D17) 10c Deep Bluish Lilac 1933-34 Third Postage Due Cream Gum VF-84 NH
A very well centered and very fine mint NH single of the 10c deep bluish lilac postage due stamp from the 1933-1934 Third Postage Due Issue. Vertical wove paper with fine vertical mesh and cream gum with a satin sheen, suggesting that this is from a printing made between 1934-1935. Unitrade values VF-75 NH single at $100. However, examples this well centered are elusive due to the fact that the stamps are line perforated, and the spacing between the stamps on the sheets is quite tight. Our price therefore, reflects the scarcity of the stamp in such condition. The stamp offered here grades VF-84 NH as follows:
Paper freshness: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard.
