A very well centered and very fine mint LH single of the 20c brownish vermilion special delivery stamp from the 1932-35 Medallion Issue. Horizontal wove paper with no visible mesh and cream gum with a satin sheen, suggesting that it is from a printing made sometime between 1934-1935. Unitrade values a VF-75 OG single at $100. Undercatalogued, as only 600,000 were issued between 1932 and 1935. Also, examples that are this well centered, such as this are extremely scarce, given the low print quantity and are worth much more than the Unitrade price for VF. The stamp offered here grades VF-82 LH as follows: Margins/centering: 54/70 Paper freshness: 5/5 (first stamp), 3/5 (others) Colour: 5/5 Impression: 5/5 Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 8/10 (first stamp) 10/10 (others) Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard. We currently have three stamps in stock in this shade and grade. You will receive one of the above stamps of your choice.
