A nearly perfectly centered and extremely very fine mint OG single of the 5c deep sepia Mercury & Globe airmail stamp from the 1930-1935 Arch Issue. Vertical wove paper with fine vertical mesh and cream gum with a satin sheen. Unitrade values a VF-75 OG single at $90. However, only 400,000 of these were printed in 1930, so that examples that are this well centered with large margins are very elusive, and our price reflects the scarcity of this stamp in such premium condition. The stamp offered here grades XF-94 OG as follows: Margins/centering: 64/70 Paper freshness: 5/5 Colour: 5/5 Impression: 5/5 Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 10/10 Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard.
