Canada #977 (SG#1084) $2 1983 Commonwealth Day Issue UL Inscription Block LF-fl Paper VF-80 NH
A well centered and very fine NH example of the $2 multicolured 1983 Commonwealth Day stamp, in an upper left (UL) inscription block of 4. Printed on smooth, Abitibi Price paper (APP) giving a dull fluorescent reaction under ultraviolet light, on the face, and a low fluorescent reaction on the back, with a low density concentration of low fluorescent fibres, a very sparse concentration of medium fluorescent fibres, and a very, very sparse concentration of brown woodpulp fibres. This paper is a variation what Unitrade calls the DF paper. Smooth cream PVA gum with the usual satin sheen. 2017 Unitrade values a VF-75 NH block at $62.50. The block offered here grades 80.
Note: the above scan is a stock photo as are all my scans for material after 1952. The item(s) you will receive has (have) been carefully checked to adhere to the above grading standards, so while it (they) may not be exactly the same, it (they) will be of the same quality. Also, I do not provide back scans of NH stamps or blocks after 1952 unless they are required to illustrate some attribute of the paper or gum.
