A Canada Post FDC franked with a combo. Graded VF. The paper fluorescence of the stamps are HF and HB, with the 10c being on the scarce horizontal ribbed paper. Unitrade catalogue value for the basic covers is $20 for Normal, $15 for 556i. Our estimate of the value after adding appropriate premiums is $35.
A note about how we calculated Chung Catalogue values in conjunction with Unitrade. Chung does not list paper varieties on FDC's. FDC's are typically regarded as being similar to mint stamps in the sense that if they are unaddressed, they are still valid for postage. So, that is why the FDC price in Unitrade is typically slightly more than a mint single. That being the case, what we have done where we have a better paper variety on an FDC is we have taken the Chung catalogue value and added the mint value of the paper variety to the FDC price.
