Canada #347 (SG#470) 4c Violet Wilding Issue Coil 2 Different Shades and Papers VF-75 NH
Two very fine NH singles of the 4c deep violet Queen Elizabeth II coil stamp from the 1954 Wilding Issue. Printed in two different shades on two different papers as follows:
- Deep violet on ribbed vertical wove showing clear ribbing on the gum and giving a dull fluorescent greyish white reaction under ultraviolet light. Smooth, shiny yellowish cream gum.
- Dull violet on smooth vertical wove showing light vertical ribbing on the gum and giving a dull fluorescent greyish reaction under UV. Streaky, shiny yellowish cream gum.
Unitrade values VF-75 NH singles at $4. The stamps offered here grade 75 as follows:
Paper freshness: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
