Canada #198i (SG#322) 4c Pale Yellow Brown 1932-35 Medallion Issue Cream Gum VF-84 OG
Canada #198i (SG#322) 4c Pale Yellow Brown 1932-35 Medallion Issue Cream Gum VF-84 OG
A very well centered and very fine mint LH single of the 4c pale yellow brown King George V bas-relief stamp from the 1932-35 Medallion Issue. Vertical wove paper with no visible mesh and cream gum with a satin sheen, suggesting that it is from a printing made sometime between 1934-1935. Unitrade values a VF-75 OG single at $80. However, examples that are this well centered are scarce, and consequently they are much more than the Unitrade price for very fine. The stamp offered here grades VF-84 OG as follows:
Margins/centering: 54/70
Paper freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
Perforations: 10/10
Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard.
