Canada #1125A (SG#MS1231) $1.86 1987 Capex 87 Souvenir Sheet DF/LF Paper "Tag Wash" Over Entire Sheet VF-75 NH
A very fine NH example of the $1.86 multicolured 1987 Capex 87 souvenir sheet. Printed on coated Harrison paper (HP) giving a dull fluorescent reaction under ultraviolet light, on the face, and a low fluorescent reaction on the back, with no fluorescent fibres. In addition to the bright green GT-4 tagging, there is a light overall greenish "tag wash" covering the margins of the sheet. This has probably resulted from a doctor blade flaw, and is not listed in Unitrade. Smooth, mottled greenish PVA gum with a satin sheen. 2017 Unitrade values a VF-75 NH sheet at $4.50 with normal tagging. However, this should be worth approximately $75. The sheet offered here grades 75.
Note: the above scan is a stock photo as are all my scans for material after 1952. The sheet (s) you will receive has been carefully checked to adhere to the above grading standards, so while it (they) may not be exactly the same, it (they) will be of the same quality. Also, I do not provide back scans of NH stamps or blocks after 1952 unless they are required to illustrate some attribute of the paper or gum.
