Canada #593ii (SG#700) 8c Ultramarine Queen Elizabeth II 1972-1978 Caricature Issue DF Ribbed Paper Types 1 & 2 VF-80 NH

Two well centered and very fine NH singles of the 8c ultramarine Queen Elizabeth II stamp from the 1973-1977 Caricature Issue, each printed on a different horizontally ribbed paper. General OP-2 Ottawa tagging, 4 mm wide, of very weak strength (almost invisible to the naked eye) and glowing a bright yellow under ultraviolet light. The paper gives a dull fluorescent greyish white reaction on the front, and a dull fluorescent greyish white reaction on the back, with a low density concentration of low fluorescent fibres, and very few brownish woodpulp fibres visible in the paper. On one stamp the tagging is colourless in normal light, and on the other stamp, the tagging is an azure colour in normal light. Comb perforated 12.0 x 12.5. Unitrade values two VF-75 NH singles at $0.70.
