Three well centered and very fine NH singles of the 1c orange Sir John A. Macdonald stamp from the 1973-1977 Caricture Issue, each printed on a different paper, and with slightly different intensities of tagging as follows:

  • Vertical wove paper showing no mesh or ribbing, and giving a dull fluorescent bluish white reaction under ultraviolet light on the face, and a dull fluorescent bluish white reaction on the back, with a sparse concentration of low fluorescent fibres, and a very sparse concentration of medium fluorescent fibres visible in the paper. General OP-2 Ottawa tagging that is 4 mm wide, of moderate strength (clearly visible to the naked eye but not dark), and glowing deep bright yellow under ultraviolet light.
  • Vertical wove paper showing no ribbing or mesh and giving a low fluorescent bluish white reaction under ultraviolet light on the face, and a low fluorescent bluish white reaction on the back, with a sparse concentration of low fluorescent fibres visible in the paper. Tagged with Ottawa OP-2 tagging, 4 mm wide, of deep strength (appears deep yellow in normal light) and glowing deep bright yellow under ultraviolet light.
  • Vertical wove paper showing no ribbing or mesh and giving a dull fluorescent greyish reaction under ultraviolet light on the face, and a dull fluorescent greyish reaction on the back, with no fluorescent fibres visible in the paper. General OP-2 Ottawa tagging, 4 mm wide, of moderate strength (clearly visible to the naked eye but not dark), and glowing deep bright yellow under ultraviolet light.

Comb perforated 12.0 x 12.5. Smooth, creamy PVA gum with a satin sheen. Unitrade values three VF-75 NH singles at $0.75. The stamps offered here grade 80 as follows:
