Postal stationery consists of envelopes, postcards, and letter sheets, sold by the post offices, that has a stamp indicta pre-printed on the stationery, and are sold to the public in that form. They date back to the 1850's and the field of postal stationery collecting is also very complicated, offering a considerable degree of potential for value accretion to the patient philatelist.
