A fine example of the 5c rose lilac 1963 Casimir Gzowski Issue First Day Cover. Black and white Art Craft cachet depicting parliament buildings and coat of arms. The envelope is on stock giving a dull fluorescent greyish reaction under ultraviolet light, with a sparse concentration of low fluorescent fibres visible in the paper, while the stamp is printed on paper giving a dull fluorescent greyish reaction under ultraviolet light. The stamp is tied by a crisp strike of an Ottawa wavy line first day cancel. The cover offered here grades F-72 as follows:

Intactness of the cover: 25/25

Paper freshness from the front: 10/25

Paper freshness from the back: 4/10

Condition of the paper and edges: 10/15

Appearance of the handwriting: 5/5 (unaddressed)

Clarity of the postal markings: 15/15

Condition of the stamps: 3/5

Unitrade lists a Rosecraft or Artcraft cachet for a single stamp on cover for $2. Note: the above scan is a stock photo as are all my scans for material after 1952. The cover you will receive has been carefully checked to adhere to the above grading standards, so while it (they) may not be exactly the same, it (they) will be of the same quality.
