Christmas
Stamps from countries of the world, issued mostly after World War II, that depict Christmas themes. Christmas stamps were usually issued each year to correspond with a temporary drop in postage rates that was made to accommodate the mailing of Christmas cards. In recent years, they are not issued with a drop in rates, but merely to commemorate Christmas.
