Canada #104/116 1c Green - 10c Plum King King George V, 1911-1928 Admiral Issue, A Specialized Lot of 18 Very Good OG Stamps Including Many Shades and Printings

A specialized grouping of 18 very good mint stamps from this very popular issue, augmented by additional shade and printing varieties, as listed in Unitrade, including some of the scarcer printings. This lot is a perfect reference lot for building a shade collection of mint stamps. Included in the lot are:

  • 3 shades of the 1c green including deep blue green
  • 4 shades/printings of the 1c orange yellow
  • 2c rose red
  • 2c green wet and dry printings
  • 3c brown wet printing
  • 3c carmine red die 1
  • 5c dark blue
  • 2 shades of the 7c straw and one 7c olive bistre
  • 10c plum

The grades of these stamps vary from VG-55 to VG-64. Generally the off-centre stamps are sound, while well centered stamps have a fault, like a crease or thin. Unitrade values fine quality at $632, so VG should be worth about $316.

Although not VF, this is perfectly adequate for this issue, especially if you want to really delve into the shades and plan on buying 20-30 copies of each value. To do that in VF grades can get very expensive. This grade keeps this type of collection much more affordable.
