Canada #E4 (SG#S6) 20c Deep Indian Red 1930-32 Arch Issue Special Delivery Yellow Gum VF-80J OG
A well centered and very fine mint LH single of the 20c deep Indian red special delivery stamp from the 1930-1935 Arch Issue, with jumbo margins. Horizontal wove paper with no visible mesh and yellowish cream gum with a glossy sheen. Unitrade values a VF-75 OG single at $100. Only 950,000 stamps were originally issued in 1930, so examples that are this well centered and with large margins like this are very scarce and are worth more than the Unitrade price for very fine. The stamp offered here grades VF-80-J LH as follows:
Margins/centering: 50/70 (jumbo)
Paper freshness: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard. .
