Sakatchewan #SL50 75c Bright Orange 1938-1968 Second Law Issue, Early and Late Printings, Very Fine Mint NH

Two very well centered, fresh and very fine mint NH examples of the 75c yellow orange stamp from the 1938-1968 Third Law issue, each printed on a slightly different paper and in a slightly different shade. One stamp is printed in a brighter shade of the yellow orange, on a crisp translucent, smooth wove paper, with smooth cream gum. The other stamp is printed in a slightly duller shade on a more opaque wove paper that shows very slight horizontal ribbing on the back only. Van Dam values two F-65 mint NH examples of these stamps at $31.25, but realistically there should be a premium for VF centering, so a reasonable value would be closer to $50. The stamps offered here grade 84 and 80 as follows:

Centering/margins: 45/70 and 50/70

Paper freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10
