Three well centered and very fine mint NH singles of the 5c deep grey and rose lilac Women's Suffrage Issue, each with a different paper or gum. Line perf. 11.85 x 11.95. Three different papers and shades as follows:
  • Grey and deep rose lilac, on vertical wove paper showing no distinct mesh and giving a dull fluorescent greyish reaction under ultraviolet light, with no fluorescent fibres visible in the paper. Smooth deep cream dex gum with a semi-gloss sheen.
  • Grey and deep rose lilac on vertical wove paper with light horizontal ribbing visible on the gummed side, and giving a dull fluorescent greyish white reaction under ultraviolet light, with no fluorescent fibres being visible in the paper. Smooth deep cream dex gum with a semi-gloss sheen.
  • Grey and deep rose lilac on vertical wove paper with light horizontal ribbing visible on the gummed side, and giving a dull fluorescent light violet reaction under ultraviolet light, with no fluorescent fibres being visible in the paper. Streaky deep cream dex gum with a semi-gloss sheen.
Unitrade values three VF-75 NH singles on the normal dull paper at $1.05. The stamps offered here grade VF-80 NH as follows: Margins/centering: 50/70 Paper freshness: 5/5 Colour: 5/5 Impression: 5/5 Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 10/10 Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard.
